Thank you for visiting my homepage. This page will be updated soon....
Thanks a lot for using the photo that I took of you guys for Groovies Greatest Grooves. I still love your Granny Takes a Trip velvet jacket.
Hey boy! This is Mark Dadomini aka Mark Dunwoody hoping all is well with you. Basically, that's it for now. I wanted to thank you for turning me on to " She Don't Care About Time". It was fun recording at Gold Star with the Groovies, I'll always cherish my nights at Chateau Montmarte and the time I spent with the Groovies. If you ever need a keyboard player, Dunwoody/Dadomini will be available. By the way, I've got a Rickenbacker 450/12 that I've been playing and thought I'd share that with another Rick afficiandado. Where's Wilhelm? He had that nice black Rick. Anyway Cyril, I've been playing with Mickey, Lenny's brother and he said he ran into you. I just want to wish you the best. You can't go wrong with Prairie on drums. We had some heady times together. Mark Dunwoody
Hi Cyril! Teenage Head is the best fucking rockÇnÇroll album of all time. HIGH FLYINÇ BABY!!!
so what is george alexander up to, hmnnn? rock juice freakin rocks, guys, thanks....
Hey Cyril... chissà se avrù mai l'occasione di conoscerti personalmente per esprimerti tutta la mia ammirazione !!! In ogni caso voglio ringraziarti per le emozioni che la tua musica mi trasmette, ormai da svariati anni! Thanks Cyril; Rock on, and... "HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!" P.S: Kind greetings to Ken!!!
I'm a once and always Groovies fan.Two of my fondest memories are shows my group The Explosives did with said Groovies.March 20,1981 at 10th St. Hall,SF and Sept.20,1981 at Barney Steel's Redwood City.Cyril,Mike Wilhelm and all were great and very friendly to out of towners from Texas.Keep rockin' Cyril!!
I've been a Groovies fanatic from my first listen to the Shake Some Action LP. That was back in '76, and I love it still. Cyril and the band's unabashed love of good old rock n' roll shines through on every track, it's a masterpiece! This treasue must be reissued in the USA, hopefully along with Now and Jumpin' In The Night.
From the land of frogs where the groovies were once bigger than alice cooper, blue oyster cult or kiss(hard to believe but true...) hope someday you'll manage to get the sire-era lp's, gloomy pop masterpieces ,issued on cd& not only in japan! Anyway, great to have you back.Maximum respect,Antoine.
Just heard "Shake Some Action" on Little Steven's Underground Garage (104.3 Sunday nights 9 - midnight here in NYC). Sounds censored good on the radio! Little Steven's show is great too btw.
I have been searching for the song "Sometimes" by Gene Thomas. I found it with your lyrics selection and many more songs. Now I need to place the strumming notes or musical notes. If you have them, well I'll start playing and singing it right away. Where can I find this note and other Oldies. My friends love to here this music all the time , even at parties. Thank You, Pedro Olivares
What a great site you have, and what great art. Liked the Groovies cover the Beatles and THE BYRDS All the best Ken
Cyril, I was glad to see you used the group photo with me on it, on the ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CD. I wish you would have used the version of "Shake Some Action" that I played drums on. I always though it was the best version. please email me when you can. Thanks, Terry Rae
A big fan here -- esp. the Rockfield and Sire stuff but can dig the earlier things as well. I also loved the last round ("Rock Juice") -- criminally overlooked but hey what else is new? Like it was said you were on to something Cyril! Hope you know your music is real important to some of us.
Hey Cyril..love your work, your music, and your sense of humor..as always, I miss you and hope to see you again soon! Rock on..mike
